A movie adaptation of McFadden's book The Housemaid is set to be adapted for Lionsgate with Rebecca Sonnenshine to pen the screenplay. The movie adaptation of The Housemaid, an international bestseller, will be produced by Hidden Pictures' Todd Lieberman and Alex Young. The Housemaid movie will star Sydney Sweeney as Millie, Amanda Seyfried as Nina, Brandon Sklenar as Andrew, Michele Morrone as Enzo.
